Realizing the fact that solid waste is a serious challenge faced by the society, a solid waste managements system, with the concept,

“MY WASTE MY RESPONSIBILITY”


Has been introduced in these area. Before implementation of this concept, a committee including the residents was formulated, which visited these areas door to door, created awareness among the residents and there after the plan has been implemented.

FUNCTION

  • Ensure smooth flow of sewerage in DHA Phase-I to Phase-VII and Bazar Areas.
  • Ensure proper functioning of all the sewerage pumping stations (19).
  • Ensure routine and spontaneous maintenance/replacement of motors and pumps of all SPS.
  • Carryout routine de-silting and maintenance of sewers.
  • Carryout routine de-silting of sewerage drains regularly as per the schedule issue from time to time.
  • Give prompt response with regard to daily complaints pertaining to sewerage overflow/blockage.
  • Place manhole covers where missing.
  • Report to Engineering Branch regarding sinking of any sewer and damaged manholes.
  • Keep the CEO apprised regarding situation including any mishap or happening.

  • To provide repair & maintenance support with regard to keep mechanical De-silting machinery for held on charge.
  • To provide repair & maintenance support with regard to Asphalt & Compactors for Road Cut Repair Team.

Anti Malaria Measures
  • Fumigation is carried out through Fog Generators throughout the year as per schedule published in newspaper.
  • Oiling in stagnant water

Dog Shooting
  • Registration and Control of dog.
  • Pet dog's owners are to get their dogs registered & a metal token from CBC.
  • If any dog is found in public place without such token shall be treated as stray dogs.
  • Dog Shooters are detailed to kill stray dogs.
