If the 20th century was dedicated to buildings, the 21st will be about the spaces between them. In communities around the world, CBC included, interest in the public Realm-parks, greenbelts, playgrounds, has never been greater. But Karachi, like many other cities has neglected its green spaces and as a result, there are not enough parks and playgrounds to serve a growing population and those we do have are deteriorating.
CBC has realized that parks are not civic frills but are urban necessities. As CBC comprise posh localities of Karachi and the huge influx of population flowing in CBC areas. But With this growing population comes growing need for Green spaces. Today in Cantonment Board Clifton we can witness promising examples of comprehensive actions aimed at environment protection and maintenance of par.
We at CBC remain dedicated to make our areas greener and pledges to become more conscientious to provide greener parks and better playgrounds to the residents of CBC. For over the years, we have paid special attention to make our parks and greenbelts not passive lands intended for Communing with nature but to seek to engage our residents intellectually and physically.
We strongly believe that parks and verdure have restorative powers of nature they are one of the ways to reconnect CBC dwellers with the natural world.
In order to achieve our vision of verdant and greener CBC areas, professional horticulturists have been taken onboard.
