The CBC Fire Brigade is housed in its own 200- square yard building that was completed in September 2000. The Department has one Fire engine and one coffin carrier. While the number of fireman is 14. Four firemen work in shift A and five firemen work in B and C shift each.

The fire brigade has always responded to the call of duty with dedication, efficiency and courage and effectively dealt with and controlled a number of fires that broke out in CBC/DHA areas at different times. However, a major fire broke out in shahbaz commercial area on May 29, 2011 that proved to be quite a challenge for fire brigade. The fire was ultimately controlled after a strenuous fight but during the effort the fire brigade lost one of its able and dedicated member abdul aziz who laid his life in the line of duty.

Another major incident took place at the west trade tower where the fire fighting became very difficult because the KESC took too long to cut off the electricity. As a result the fire cause a great deal of losses but eventually the fire brigade was able to control the fire.

A fire broke out also at one of the zamzama restaurants due to electric short circuit, which was efficiently controlled by the fire brigade. It may be mentioned that in these fires usually occur due to electric short circuit. Since September 2005, the fire brigade has dealt with a total number of 750 fire incidents reported and controlled is 143.

As a community service the Fire brigade also provides training with demonstration to school children on fire hazards and how to act in fire emergencies. Children from many famous schools in CBC/DHA areas visit the fire brigade for this purpose.

The fire brigade also operates a coffin carrier in DHA and adjoining areas where it is permitted to go and the residents are provided the services of transporting the coffins of the deceased for burial in DHA graveyards. The Coffins carrier remains available at all times with the services of a driver and a cleaner. From January 2007 to July 6, 2011 the coffin carrier has transported the coffins of 185 deceased for burial.
